COURTESY POST – Lucy - Pending Adoption
Lucy is looking for her new, forever home. She was adopted from SGH about a year ago. She is 1 1/2 yrs old. Her name at the time, was Lina. Lucy is a sweet, loving gal, she is about 22 lbs and is likely fully-grown. She has already been spayed and is up to date on her vaccines and vet history. Lucy’s mom is surrendering her (sadly) due to Lucy nipping at her young son, who has a tendency to try to ‘hug’ Lucy and we think the ‘smothering-ish’ behavior is causing Lucy some stress. While Lucy has NOT bitten anyone, mom’s anxiety ‘watching over’ Lucy so closely, is causing too much family nervousness and they do not feel that they will ever relax enough to simply enjoy her companionship. Lucy is fully crate trained and sleeps in her crate (although she also loves to snuggle in bed with her family). She is good with cats, may initiate a little chase, but respects the cat’s choice for flight as desired. She is good with other dogs, and people, although may be a tad hesitant with new greetings with men, but quickly warms up once comfortable.
We met Lucy and performed a behavior evaluation on her. We found her to be super friendly, playful and loving. We actually fell in love with her quite immediately. She is trained, has completed a basic obedience class, and will demonstrate her learned behavior as desired, especially for treats!
If you are interested in meeting Lucy, please submit an adoption application to us.
